What’s that on your cheek?

Filed under: Monday Moments — by Alison @ 2:04 pm

She likes to get herself ready for school after lunch. She rhymes off what she needs to do: bathroom, brush teeth, wash face. I do a check when she’s finished to make sure everything’s okay. Today she still has remnants of lunch on her cheeks. She’s not pleased with being asked to rewash her face, and gets annoyed when I try to do it for her. Her pout is impressive and I think she enjoys her reflection. I take the face cloth and clean her up, then pause “What’s that on your cheek?”. I lean in closer, peering at her face.Β “Oh, nothing, just a kiss”. She breaks into a grin and tells me I have something on my face too.

  4. Love it! So adorable. And a smart way to make your daughter feel better that mom has to help her finish washing up. πŸ™‚
