Getting it done- Coupon organizer

Filed under: Plans — by Alison @ 10:45 pm

Everything on the fall list has been completed. The house is sold, it took a little over 3 weeks which is really good for the current market in our neighbourhood. All of the baby clothes have been sorted, and only two bags of summer stuff remains. I’m going to call the charity to make sure they can use it. If not, my mom will hold the bags and donate them for me in the spring.

I’m working my way through my new list. A big thing was organizing my coupons. I wasn’t alone in this. Lara has also reformed her grouponing ways. My first step was removing myself from the email lists. Then I printed all the coupons (6 in total) and arranged them in order of expiry. Two coupons were wasted, one for the Rainbow Cinemas and another for the Camp Fortune Aerial Park. The restrictions on the Aerial Park made it difficult to use, and we forgot about the Rainbow Cinema until it was too late.

So, in the next 6 weeks I need to buy running equipment, have coffee in Kanata, sign up H for activity classes, go to a deli, and have dinner. I used my coupon for CanvasPop to get a present for my parents. My sister got her wedding photos, so I chose one of those for my parents living room. It’ll be a great (late) anniversary present.

The new to-do list:

  • Commit to blogging three times a week – NaBloPoMo is helping
  • Figure out a gym schedule that works now that I’m solo parenting
  • Plan a night out with old friends – Saw one friend, need to do this again soon
  • Plan a night out with newer friends – Done, but don’t want to take it off list so I remember to do it again
  • Buy new clothes
  • Stop buying chocolate bars
  • Try a new recipe a week
  • Organize Groupon type coupons and use them
  • Stop buying the coupon deals
  • Go to bed earlier – Will be focusing on this next week

I’ll let you know how the rest of the coupon using goes? Anyone want to meet me for coffee in Kanata?

    • I think you’re mixed up Lara. It’s all that east end air you’re breathing in. #westisbestyo

  2. I have only recently become mixed up in the groupon racket, and will take a cue from your post to stay on top of it! Good luck with your to-do list, and I’m so glad to see that you crossed the chocolate item off 🙂
